چکیده

The Trichoderma hamatum produces various secondary metabolites that can be used as Candida albicans. This research aimed to isolate T. from the coffee (Coffea canephora) rhizosphere and analyze fungal compounds control pathogenic fungus C. was isolated using dilution method, identification used, combining morphological molecular characteristics of ITS rDNA. potency albicans determined by antagonist test double-layer while for culture filtrate, ethyl acetate n-hexane filtrate extracts were carried out agar diffusion method. in most active extract analyzed Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS). inhibits growth antagonistic with 15.53 mm 14.40 inhibition zone. It indicated both had similar activities on (minimum inhibitory concentration, MIC 0.50%) showed more potent against abicans than (MIC 15.00%). potential compound would 9-Octadecenoic acid (Z) methyl ester. ester could an alternative candidate Candida.

Allometric model for estimating leaf area in clonal varieties of coffee (Coffea canephora)1 Modelo alométrico para estimativa da área foliar de variedades clonais de café (Coffea canephora)

The evaluation of leaf area is required in several agronomic studies given their importance to assess the plant growth. The objective of this study was to use statistical models to estimate leaf area of five clonal varieties of coffee (Coffea canephora) from linear dimensions (length and width maximum). Were used in the studies five varieties of Coffea canephora Pierre ex Froehner: Emcapa 8111,...

Chemical partitioning and antioxidant capacity of green coffee (Coffea arabica and Coffea canephora) of different geographical origin.

Green coffee beans of Coffea arabica and Coffea canephora accessions from different geographical origin (Brazil, Colombia, Ethiopia, Honduras, Kenya, Mexico, Peru, Uganda and Vietnam) were extracted and the extracts analyzed by HPLC-ESI-MS/MS for the identification and quantification of chlorogenic acids and caffeine content. Principal component and cluster analyses were used to identify chemic...

Gymnemic Acids Inhibit Hyphal Growth and Virulence in Candida albicans

Candida albicans is an opportunistic and polymorphic fungal pathogen that causes mucosal, disseminated and invasive infections in humans. Transition from the yeast form to the hyphal form is one of the key virulence factors in C. albicans contributing to macrophage evasion, tissue invasion and biofilm formation. Nontoxic small molecules that inhibit C. albicans yeast-to-hypha conversion and hyp...

SNPs Based Molecular Diversity of Coffea canephora

Coffee offers one of the most widely drunk beverages in the world, and is a very important source of foreign currency income for many countries. Coffea canephora Pierre presents a great genetic variability, with one of the widest natural geographical distribution within the subgenus. Newly developed single nucleotide Polymorphism (SNP) markers are effective in genetic diversity detection. The o...

Acyclic sesquiterpenes released by Candida albicans inhibit growth of dermatophytes.

It is unresolved as to whether fungi that share a common skin habitat might in principal interact. In in vitro screening tests with Candida albicans, Trichophytum rubrum and other common dermatophytes, we found C. albicans releases volatile compounds that inhibit growth of the dermatophytes. By applying (enantioselective) gas chromatography combined with mass spectrometry we identified 8 compou...
